News

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – After a request from Vigo County prosecutor Terry Modesitt, $25,000 will be invested into addiction recovery programs in the coming year.

This comes after the county council approved Modesitt’s request earlier today. The money used will be from multiple grants.

Modesitt said of the request that: “there is a tremendous need to grow the recovery programs in Vigo County.”

He went on to say that: “we will continue to prosecute drug dealers, especially repeat offenders, … At the same time, we want to support those programs that reduce demand for drugs and reunites families.”
