Vigo County Schools, ISU close Wednesday due to freezing temperatures

With wind chill values in the negative 20s expected Wednesday, Vigo County School Corporation and Indiana State University have announced closings.

Texts alerts were sent to VCSC parents early Tuesday afternoon to notfiy them of the decision. 

ISU will be closed from 5 p.m. Tuesday through 8 a.m. Thursday.  Essential personnel should still report to campus.

The ISU dining services will continue while the university is closed. The Student Recreation Center will operate under an adjusted schedule. Students should check the school’s website and social media for more information. 

The ISU Founder’s Day Celebration has been rescheduled to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 6 in the Heritage Ballroom.
