TERRE HAUTE, Ind (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Historical Museum is set to make the grand opening official with a ribbon cutting.
The ribbon cutting is slated to take place on Tuesday.
The museum is 34,000 square feet and features the history of Vigo County and Terre Haute.
“There’s a couple of things that people need to understand the importance of knowing our history. One is, just pride of place. All of wonderful things including the birth place of the coca cola bottle, that happened here in Terre Haute. It’s good to be proud of that,” Susan Tingley, Executive Director of the Vigo County Historical Museum said.
The museum fist opened their doors on November 5th and is located on Wabash Avenue.
