Vigo County Election Board Runs Final Tests For General Election

As we near the month of November the Vigo County Election Board is checking the final boxes in preparation for the general election.

On Tuesday, the final pieces of equipment that will be used in the election were tested to ensure they could accurately read ballots submitted by voters.

The machines results were checked by one Democrat one Republican and the Vigo County Clerk; currently there are 21 confirmed voting centers for the Vigo County General Election.

The next steps in preparing for the Election will be to train the volunteers who will be manning the polls.

“The Primary is much broader. Because you have the two parties so the two ballots. Every time we change anything we retest. Just for the sanctity of the election is of the up most importance especially now,” says Kevin Berry with the Vigo County Election Board.

If you would like to cast your ballot in November’s general election you’ll need to make sure you are registered to vote, that deadline is October 9th.
