VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Vigo County Commissioners will host a public forum on Wednesday September 5 in regards to the jail project.
This will allow the public to ask questions and relay concerns about the progress of the project.
The forum will take place at the AM-Vets Post 222 in West Terre Haute from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Residents will be able to look at 20 blueprints for the jail as well as speak with officials involved in the project.
County officials hope this will allow for more transparency between residents and officials.
“It’s a great way for people to come out and see what’s going on. To have not necessarily inside knowledge, but to have a better understanding about the process,” explained Vigo County Commissioner Brendan Kearns. “People involved in this project will be on hand to answer questions directly, versus speculation.”
