TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Staff and volunteers with Vigo County’s Court Appointed Special Advocates are in the holiday spirit.
They spent Friday wrapping gifts for this year’s Whoville event.
The organization received over a thousand gifts to wrap and give to children in the CASA program.
The organization says it’s grateful to the community who donated funds and toys for this effort.
“Vigo County is a wonderful community. It gives and gives, and gives,” says Jan Hoff, Training and Recruiting Supervisor for CASA. “We had nine different trees with elf tags. We had the biggest response ever. People took tags and just bought toys. The community is a wonderful, wonderful giving place.”
Hoff says this is CASA’s biggest event of the year.
