Victim in fatal Clay County I-70 crash Monday identified

CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The person who died in a crash on Interstate 70 early Monday morning has been identified as a 27-year-old woman from Carlisle.

A news release from the Clay County Coroner’s Office identified Kendra Debouef-Chastain, 27, Carlisle, as the person who died in a crash involving a passenger car and tractor-trailers on I-70 westbound near mile marker 22 around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

The crash happened near the Clay/Putnam county line and closed the westbound lanes for hours.
