VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Vigo County School Corporation says educators have been hard at work since spring to provide resources that can be used in the classroom or at home, so the district can be ready for any scenario.
School officials say since not all students have access to technology, the district has materials like books children can keep and at-home kits that contain educational games.
The goal is to keep students continuously learning in fun ways.
All teachers also went through a workshop to help better understand e-learning.
The district is also hoping for a grant that would allow them access to more Wi-Fi hotspots and chromebooks.
Vigo County schools start on Tuesday. Officials say the district will use the beginning of the new school year to revisit last year’s topics to make sure students are still on track.
