United Way receives $100,000 to boost early childhood education

Terre Haute, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) The United Way’s “Success by 6 Council” receives two grants to help early childhood education.

The $100,000 comes from Early Learning Indiana.

One grant is for $75,00. It will be used in a partnership with Vigo County schools.

The goal is to expand existing space in school buildings for childcare to prepare kids for kindergarten.

The rest of the money will be used to improve pre-school programs.
