Two Terre Haute men, healthcare workers named community leaders at annual Chamber of Commerce meeting

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two Terre Haute men were named community leaders at the Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting Wednesday.

Businessman Greg Gibson was awarded the Building Business award, sponsored by Vectren.
The chamber noted Gibson’s advocacy, vision and investments in community projects.

The Emerging Leader of the year award, sponsored by Wright’s Pool Service and the Wabash Valley Leadership Institute was given to financial advisor, Ron Hodge.

Hodge is also a member of a board member of the Swope Art Museum, a member of Launch Terre Haute and a member of the Diversity Walk Committee.

“I feel so lucky to be able to do what I do in my hometown and really making some positive changes and setting the town in a positive direction,” Gibson said.

“I think recognizing that Terre Haute has gotten to a place that we really do recognize the value we have here and the people,” Hodge said.

The building community award, sponsored by Indiana State University was given to health care workers in West Central Indiana.
