Two new Vigo County Council members sworn in Saturday, to replace outgoing councilmen

VIGO CO., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Republican Party precinct committee elected two new county council members Saturday.

Brenda K. Wilson was elected as county councilman for district two and Travis L. Norris was elected to district four.

Their terms will last two years to replace councilmen Chris Switzer and Mike Morris. Both were elected as county commissioners.

The votes took place in two seperate caucuses led by Vigo County Republican Party Chair Randy Gentry.

Wilson resigned from her township trustee position. She said she thinks she could make more of a difference in this role.
