Two people out of Indianapolis are in local jail cells tonight, after they were found with a large amount of drugs and guns while wanted on outstanding warrants in other counties.
On Monday, August 20th, Indiana State Police arrested 38-year-old Ashley Albertson and 44-year-old Christopher Harsin of Indianapolis.
This after troopers came across their vehicle partially in the roadway on Marin Road in southeastern Parke County. Troopers ran the vehicle’s plate number, and discovered it was reported stolen out of Boone County, Indiana.
Albertson was inside the car and Harsin was up in a tree trimming branches when troopers approached them.
Officials say when Harsin was attempting to climb down from the tree, he became entangled while 60 feet high and troopers requested help from nearby troopers, deputies and rescue . Eventually, they were able to bring Harsin back on the ground safely.
Upon further investigation, troopers learned that Albertson and Harsin were wanted on several warrants out of Marion, Hendricks and Montgomery Counties.
Troopers also proceeded to search the stolen truck and Harsin’s personal effects; they recovered one gram of heroin, six grams of meth, 19 grams of marijuana, 16 controlled substance pills, several syringes, drug paraphernalia items and two handguns.
Albertson was arrested on the warrants out of Marion and Hendricks County.
Harsin was arrested on his warrants out of Montgomery and Hendricks County, along with additional charges of possession of stolen property and drugs.
