Two arrested for dealing meth in Washington

WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — An investigation by the Washington Police Department and the DEA Task Force ended in two arrests Tuesday night.

Approximately 244 grams or one-half pound of Crystal Methamphetamine was seized during a traffic stop on Interstate 69 at the Washington exit. That’s a street value of $24,000.

After a police department k9 alerted to narcotics in the vehicle, 32 year old Juan Dubon-Castillo and 40-year-old Elsa Madrigal were arrested. Both are from Washington. Three juveniles were also in the vehicle at the time of arrest.

A handgun and paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle.

Both face dealing methamphetamine and other charges.
