Some local resident got in the spirit of Halloween a couple days early.
CASA staff and volunteers held their annual Trunk or Treat in the parking lot of The Vigo County Annex.
For more than two hours kids and parents got a chance to just be kids, trick or treating.
This is the first year CASA opened the event up to the community and the support has officials overwhelmed with gratitude.
“All the cars and trunks you see here are County Annex Employees and our CASA volunteers,” Glenna Cheesman said. “You get to come out and learn who CASA is and just come and learn about our program and just be a kid and celebrate because sometimes the hardest thing to be is a kid. So that’s what we are here to do.”
Last year more than 250 kids attended the event.
And this year officials saw double, with lines stretching to the street.
