CLINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– A tradition dating back over two decades made its return to Clinton on Sunday.

The Tri Kappa Christmas Bazaar is an opportunity for residents to get an early start on their holiday shopping. There were over 50 booths that sold a wide variety of Christmas decor and merchandise.

It also included a special guest appearance from Santa Claus for the kids to enjoy.

Janel Bonomo is a co-chair for this event, and she says this event is all about giving back.

“There are things that we know our community needs, but for us to be able to do that we need to fundraise. It is definitely a philanthropic organization. None of it is because we want to earn money ourselves. We are just turning that money right back and giving it to the community,” said Bonomo.

She also wanted to add that this is a great place to catch up with people you haven’t seen in a while.

“One of my favorite parts about this event is that you get to see people you have not seen in weeks, months, or maybe even last year. It is a great place to catch up and get back in touch with people that you care about but don’t get to see very often,” added Bonomo.

This event helps raise money for a program that provides for those in nursing homes around the holidays.
