Trans-Care awarded new ambulance transportation contract

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) A local ambulance company will soon be serving more hospitals.

Terre Haute-based Trans-Care has announced it was awarded the ambulance transportation contract for Franciscan Health Indianapolis and Mooresville.

Trans-Care will begin providing the service on June 23 and will continue adding to its fleet.

This contract means continued growth for the company, which officials say will benefit their entire service area.

“[It] increases our ability, our assets and our personnel in the Indianapolis market, which in turn helps us increase personnel assets through all our other markets,” says operations director Jason Orman.

Trans-Care has been in operation since 1992. Its service area includes Terre Haute, Vincennes, Indianapolis and Columbus, Indiana.
