MARSHALL, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – EMS groups form around the valley trained for athletic emergency situations Thursday.
Union Center for Sports Medicine trained local EMS groups to prepare for the upcoming school season and the sports that go right along with it at the Marshall High School football field.
Yevette Cress, outreach manager for Union Center for Sports Medicine, said “It’s very important, because if you have an emergency situation you want things to go smoothly so that you can get that athlete transported as quickly as possible. So we like to practice before the seasons start.”
They practiced multiple scenarios to make sure they were properly prepared.
