Just when you thought you’d heard the last of “Toys R Us”… it may make a comeback.
Months after the toy retailer closed its doors, a bankruptcy auction of the “Toys R Us” brand name and associated intellectual property has been put on hold.
A group of the bankrupt retailers debtors say they’re putting together a plan to potentially revive the toy chain, instead of selling it off for parts.
The investors say it would potentially bring Toys R Us back in a “new and re-imagined way”.
Toys R Us faced $5 billion in debt when it declared bankruptcy and closed more than 800 stores earlier this year, putting about 30,000 people out of work.
