Three Teens Arrested in Car Break-In Case


Three teens face charges in connection to a series of car break-ins in Terre Haute and Vigo County neighborhoods.

We first brought you the story on Wednesday, after a homeowner in the Colonial Park subdivision shared security video of a break-in.

Today, we learned detectives from the Vigo County Sheriff’s department and THPD have been working a couple of weeks to solve a rash of car break-ins.

The investigation led officers to serve a search warrant at 6710 East Wabash Avenue.

One of the suspects arrested was 18-year-old Haley Buck of Terre Haute. She faces multiple charges, including theft and possession of marijuana. She is held without bond in the Vigo County Jail.

Officers also arrested two teen boys. A 15 year old is charged with theft, possession of a firearm, and visiting a common nuisance. A 13 year old suspect is charged with theft and visiting a common nuisance.

According to a press release, during the questioning the three suspects indicated they would only enter vehicles that were not locked. 

Officers are reminding everyone to always lock your vehicles.
