THPD: Terre Haute woman charged after stabbing another woman over ex-boyfriend

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV0 — A woman is charged after a stabbing Sunday morning in Terre Haute.

Police said it happened in the 2400-block of Wabash Avenue around 10:10 a.m.

According to officers, Jasmine Jones of Terre Haute stabbed a female victim in the chest over an ex-boyfriend.

They said Jones then fled the scene before police arrived.

Jones was located in the area of 5th Street and Oak Street where police tried to stop her, before a short chase ensured.

Police said Jones was topped and taken into custody without incident.

According to THPD, Jones is charged with aggravated battery, criminal recklessness, felony resisting law enforcement, and operating a vehicle while never licensed.

The female victim was taken to the hospital where she’s being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
