Things To Know Before Shoveling Snow

There is more snow and much colder weather on the way for this weekend.
And that could mean emergency rooms and walk-in clinics may see more patients.
Falls on ice, frost bite and injuries associated with snow shoveling are all things that can happen when the temperature drops.
Physician Asstant Mark Woodruff with the EZ Care Clinic in Paris, Illinois says some tips to remember before grabing that shovel are “avoid heavy meals , avoid alcohol before hand, make sure you are bundled-up. If you notice any numbness or tingling in any extremities defiantly stop go back inside.. try and warm back-up.”
If the pains does not go away or you start experiencing dizziness, severe pain or blisters show up,  Woodruff suggests you call an ambulance or get checked out immediately.
