TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – An effort to provide a little girl with a therapy dog moves closer to reality. The young girl has autism and would benefit from a therapy dog. So, the Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church hosted a chili supper fundraiser.
The Friday evening event included a silent auction, hot dogs and cupcakes. Supporters have already raised $6,500 dollars and the overall goal is $9,500 dollars.
“She’s been autistic from birth and the doctors have said that she would do a lot better if they had a service dog to help her to keep her safe, said Pastor Bob Roush of Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church.
All funds raised will go directly to little angels service dogs. For questions or more information call Pastor Kathy Roush at 812-232-7298.
