Vincennes, Ind., (WTWO/WAWV)– The city of Vincennes swore in their new elected city officials.

Eight city officials took their official oaths.

Four of those officials will be starting their second terms.

City Clerk Treasurer Kathy Lane says she is confident about the future of Vincennes and the new changes coming to the city.

“I think we and the city of Vincennes are on the cusp of doing great things. I’m really happy to be apart of the change that I see, positive change. I’m just happy that i’ll be able to be involved with it. You know…I’m really excited for what the future holds for the city,” said Lane.

Some of those changes include several new retail stores and a new restaurant.

The Franklin Elementary School renovations are still underway and they are expected to reopen for the 2020 school year.

Lane says she hopes to see the city of Vincennes develop with the upcoming projects on the agenda.
