The Terre Haute redevelopment commission approved two resolutions that will help move the Terre Haute convention center forward.
The board agreed to the terms for the “center interlocal agreement.”
Under the agreement, the cost of the convention center would be divided between the county, capital investment board and the city of Terre Haute.
The estimated project funding would be $32.4 million.
The second resolution would make the convention center project part of the redevelopment plan for downtown.
The food and beverage tax Vigo County added last fall will also go toward funding the project.
So far the tax has brought in more than $800,000 in revenue.
Now the agreement will head to the city and the county for signatures.
