VERMILLION Co., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man is in custody after officials said he threw large items at a restaurant in Dana Friday night.

The Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to Charlie’s Pizza, where employees said a drunk man threw a large rock at the building and broke an employee’s car windshield with a brick.

According to deputies, they also found broken windows at the Dana Fertilizer building, as well as a road sign and sandbag in the middle of the highway.

They said Higgins was found sleeping in a ditch near Dana Tire before threatening officers and trying to run.

He was taken into custody on multiple charges, including intimidation.

Higgins is being held at the Vermillion County jail on $7,000 bond.

They said the injuries on Higgins’ face are not police-involved and that he declined to say what happened to him.
