On Sunday February 26th, at about 2:45 AM, uniformed officers of the Terre Haute Police Department were dispatched to a fight call at the Verve (7th and Wabash).
Upon arrival it was found that there were 40-60 people fighting in different clusters.
Once the area was dispersed, several individuals from the 7th and Wabash altercation drove to the 2700 block of Fenwood Avenue to confront the other parties in the fight.
According to the victim, a man named Devon Todd, 25, got out of one of the vehicles and threw a brick through the front windshield of the victim’s vehicle. The victim then attempted to drive away when the victim said that Devon Todd pulled out a handgun and fired several shots into the victim’s car (which was occupied by four females.)
Devon Todd was struck by the victim’s vehicle.
Devon Todd fled the scene after being struck. No one in the vehicle was injured.
Detectives of the Terre Haute Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit began investigating the case.
Early Monday, detectives located Devon Todd and arrested him.
Devon Todd is charged with four counts of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, a level 5 felony, and criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor.
