TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Dozens gathered at Fairbanks Park one final time Saturday evening for the final performance by the Terre Haute Community Band of the summer season.

It was the third and final show of the year, and the band was preceded by a performance from the Wabash Valley Area Band. The theme for the night was “Back Home Again in Indiana.”

First-year principal conductor Norman Hanson said he appreciated the support they saw throughout the past few weeks.

“Great season, it was a great season,” he said. “The band really grew musically and was very responsive to what I felt we were trying to do and it was a really great season. The audience grew in size each week, I think we really had a good time together.”

More information about the band can be found on its website.
