Terre Haute residents will roll up their sleeves this Saturday for a citywide clean-up.

The city is teaming up with Keep Terre Haute Beautiful and Republic Services for this annual fall cleaning.

Volunteers will be focusing on several targeted areas.

They can not take hazardous waste, including refrigeration units, chemicals, tires, batteries or TV’s.

If you have a big item that you can’t move to a dumpster yourself, call 311.

“Make sure you tell us ‘I can’t move this, but I need you to pick it up for me’ and if we don’t get it Saturday, we’ll probably get it on Monday, but we’ll be able to do it very quickly,” says Mayor Duke Bennett.

The Terre Haute clean-up is on Saturday from 8 A.M. until 12 P.M.

Volunteers will meet in the back parking lot of the Terre Haute Police Department at 105 S 13th Street.

Volunteers will receive a map, gloves, bags and snacks.

There will also be open top dumpsters at the police department and at city hall.
