TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Children and their families can once again enjoy the wonders of a local museum.
The Terre Haute Children’s Museum reopened Thursday after being closed due to Indiana’s stay-at-home order.
The museum has made some changes, including a modified schedule. It’s now open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Staff members are also rotating out, and disinfecting, the things that kids play with at the museum.
They’re happy to welcome families back and are eager to provide a fun learning environment.
“This place is quiet when there’s no one here. This place was built to be full of laughter and play, kids running around and that ‘a-ha’ type moment, and it’s just not the same when the kids aren’t here, so we’re excited to be back,” says Jamie McDowell, Director of Operations.
The museum is one of several to reopen under stage four of Indiana’s reopening plan.
