TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce is in a time of transition.

David Haynes celebrated his retirement after five years as the chamber’s president.

The chamber of commerce was recently named Indiana’s Chamber of the Year.

But Haynes says his greatest accomplishment was helping to create a great team and he looks forward to seeing what they do next.

“The fact that I’m stepping away days after we were named Chamber of the Year by our peers here in the state, I feel like I’m going out on top. I’m leaving the chamber in such good hands and I’m going to enjoying watching it continue to grow and succeed,” Haynes said.

Haynes looks forward to spending time with this grandkids, doing yard work, and volunteering.

Kristin Craig will be the chamber’s new president.
