VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A Sullivan County teen walked away with only minor injuries after falling asleep at the wheel and crashing his vehicle in Vermillion County Thursday night.
According to the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Department, 17-year-old male from Fairbanks, Ind. was driving on State Road 63, just south of State Road 71, in the curve, when his car struck a guardrail in the median.
Witnesses stated the car rolled approximately 7 times.
The driver told authorities he believed that he fell asleep while driving. He was taken to Union Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
