Sullivan County commissioners after having their hands tied with the county ambulance barn repairs have taken matters into their own hands.
That’s by starting to repair the ambulance garage that burned down over a year ago. The county’s last construction bidder pulled out of the repair, Commissioners now say they will bring together the crews to do the labor.
They plan to ask if local prisoners can assist. And hopefully have vehicles in the garage by July 1st. County commissioners say filing a lawsuit against the insurance company has not yet come into play, but they believe the insurance should cover more of the expense.
