If you’re looking for a job and you want to serve the community, the Terre Haute Police Department has a position you might want to consider.
They’re currently taking applications for two crossing guard positions. Applicants cannot have a criminal record and must be of good moral character.
“You have to have good moral character, you’re going to be working with children…you have to have public safety in mind and just look out for the well-being of not only the children but the parents walking their children to and from school,” Ryan Adamson said.
The positions are part-time. The work hours are Monday through Friday from approximately 7:35 to 8:10 a.m. and 2:35 to 3:15 p.m. The pay is $15 per day. If you’re interested, contact the city of Terre Haute Human Resources at 812-244-2324 or go to www.terre haute.in.gov.
