Sullivan, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Kat-a-Korner Diner owner Fred Richey says that he hopes to have the restaurant up and running on April 15. The building will look to reopen after a fire in November 2018 destroyed the original building, which had stood since 1933.
Duke Energy turned power on in the building on Thursday.
Richey says that currently, crews are dry-walling the new building. After that is complete, he hopes to spend a few weeks working on the building’s interior, before officially reopening the diner.
Richey says he’s never been more excited to start flipping eggs.
