On Tuesday night, a local high school introduces students and parents a new center to help guide students in the right direction after graduation.
The Sullivan High School held an open house of their brand new Career Resource Center.
The new facility is aimed toward providing students with a chance to learn about potential college and career opportunities.
The center also provides students with career counseling, application and scholarship assistance and networking with local business owners.
College and career coach Tammy Young, says this is a perfect opportunity to get students on the path toward a great college and career experience.
“It’s been proven that they have greater success in college if they have that plans made. And also they can explore colleges they haven’t thought of before by coming into our center and maybe also majors and different jobs they haven’t thought of before,” said Young.
The career center is made possible with the help of grants provided by the Lilly Endowment Inc. and the Sullivan Community Foundation.
