Friday was a night to honor first responders from the Sullivan area.
It didn’t matter if they were retired or if they were from out of town. The Night of Heroes was definitely a magical night.
First responders and their families were invited to a dinner and magic show at the First Baptist Church of Shelburn.
The magic show was performed by one of their own, Jon Mobley of Indianapolis.
“It’s sad but its true. Every time a first responder goes out it could be their last trip,” said Craig Grow Sullivan County FCA director. “And you just never know, and so we really appreciate that. We want them to know that we appreciate them. We don’t have any agenda by it we just want to give them a night to say thank you.”
This was the second year for the event, and will not be it’s last. The event was hosted by the Sullivan County Fellowship of Christian Athletes and sponsored by Brampton Brick, Sullivan Walmart and the Wabash Valley FCA.
