The Sullivan FFA Alumni Consignment Auction, the largest FFA Consignment Auction in the state of Indiana, is set for 9 a.m., Saturday at the Sullivan County Fairgrounds.
The auction is organized by Jeff Boston Auction Service and FFA Alumni Chapter members. The auction typically attracts more than 1,000 people to the area.
During the sale, four auctioneers will work to auction a variety of items from approximately 600 lots.
Items include: farm equipment, livestock equipment, construction equipment, lawn and garden items, as well as a CAT D3B Bulldozer and an assortment of vintage farm tractors.
The Sullivan FFA chapter earns money through food sales and donations, such as units of seed corn and seed beans. Other local businesses from across the Wabash Valley donate items to be auctioned and all money collected from the sale of these donated items go directly to the FFA alumni.
The FFA alumni then supports FFA chapter activities through the money earned from the auction. FFA members assist with auction duties, prep, and donation collection.
