Stuff the Bus is Underway

An effort across the Wabash Valley will help families in need offset the costs of back to school.

Stuff the Bus kicked off on Monday with stops in Brazil and Sullivan.

It’s a partnership between the United Way of the Wabash Valley and local school corporations.

A school bus parks outside retail stores like Walmart and folks can donate money or school supplies.

Those supplies are then distributed to schools for children in need.

The Assistant Superintendent of Southwest Schools in Sullivan says they are grateful for the community’s generosity.

“It’s wonderful. I’ve been here now for ten years and to this day, I’ve worked in other communities and other school corporations, and this community, the community of Sullivan, has always been extremely generous if there’s a cause,” says Jon Stuckey.

Stuff the Bus will continue throughout the week. You can make donations from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. at the following locations:

– August 1st  Walmart Sullivan
– August 1st  Walmart East Terre Haute (St Rd 46)
– August 2nd  Walmart South Terre Haute (US Hwy 41)
