Students Participate in Go Ivy Day

News

Local high school students got to experience what it’s like to attend Ivy Tech on Friday.

That’s because it was Go Ivy Day.

About 250 juniors and seniors from area high schools visited the Terre Haute campus.

They got to learn about academic programs, research for students, as well as financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

Ivy Tech hosts this event in both the fall and the spring.

“They really get to kick the tires here. They really get to check all of us out. They get to check our facilities out, our academic programs, so it’s great way for students to learn the distinctive qualities of an Ivy Tech education,” says Leah Allman, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.

Students who are interested in Ivy Tech, but missed the event, can check with their high school’s college connection coach. They can also call the Terre Haute campus directly at (812) 299-1121.
