Students learn how to stay healthy

Local elementary school students learn about staying healthy in a hands-on way.

Twice a year, C.A.R.E. Days take place at Sullivan Elementary School.

Volunteers and retired teachers help kids learn how the body works and what they need to do to take care of themselves.

They travel to interactive stations set up in the gym.

There was a virtual tour of the human body.

They even got to see and touch a real sheep heart!

The kindergarten through fifth grade students leave with knowledge that can help them throughout their lives.
