It’s a day for giving on Indiana State University’s campus. Every Wednesday students are encouraged to participate in Stop and Serve.
Today students filled activity bags for children at CASA. Every week its a different organization in Terre Haute that students help out. They even receive community service hours for this brief Stop and Serve session in Student Union.
“This is a good way to for studetns to know what is in the Terre Haute area, how can I make the best of my college experience and maybe can I potentially learn, ‘hey for my studies, do I want to study helping people,'” Grad Asst. with Center for Community Engagement, Chelsea Cook said.
The Center for Community Engagement is looking for students to host stop and serves to gain more service hours. They’re also looking for volunteers to help out with Griffin Bike Park’s grand opening on October 15th.
