Some Valley students took their classroom lessons and put them to the test. Today, more than 100 teens from six different schools took part in a special competition at Linton-Stockton.
The focus was on STEM skills, that’s science, technology, engineering and math.
Students had different building challenges. They also had to do presentations about their work and creations.
“This is just a great project for kids to come out and express themselves. So it’s a great learning day for them whether or not in the classroom, just a different, innovative way for the kids to come out and learn,” said Brian Oliver, industrial arts teacher.
Winners took home bragging rights and trophies, This was the eighth year for the annual event.
