The general election is still a few months away but that’s not stopping candidates from traveling the state to swing voters in their direction.
Democratic candidate for Indiana Secretary of State Jim Harper paid a visit to the Wabash Valley on Friday, with Democratic officials holding a rally for Harper outside the Vigo County Courthouse.
There he spoke to voters on several issues regarding election security, equality among both parties and a wanting to begin new generation of government.
“I think it’s important to have some balance in the statehouse right now every state office is run by the same party. So I think having a little bit of balance and somebody who can serve as a watchdog on state government is really important,” Jim Harper, Democratic candidate for Indiana Secretary of State.
Before Harper decided to pursue a career in politics he served as a lawyer and representative of non-profit organizations in Valpraiso.
Also just a reminder the Indiana general election is November 6th.
