ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — St. Mary-of-the-Woods College celebrated Homecoming with a day of festivities Saturday.
SMWC hosted Cincinnati Claremont in both men’s and women’s soccer, with both Pomeroy teams finding victories on the pitch.
The college also invited the public and alumni alike to the Choir and Alumni Band Concert, which combined current students with alumni for a musical performance. Excerpts from the show included An Ode to Mother Earth and a medley of pieces from “The Sound of Music”.
“Well, St. Mary-of-the-Woods is just a special place. It’s a place that people come home to, it’s a place that is always part of their lives, and so whether it’s a student, an alum, or family, they call this place home,” said Karen Dyer.
An equestrian show and brunch Sunday will round out the Homecoming festivities.
