Spring Week ends with a tandem bike race

Spring Week is almost over at Indiana State with it’s final and most anticipated event happening Saturday.

At the end of every Spring Week all participating organizations take part in a two-person tandem race. Each team consists of 10 members—five boys and girls.

While two people are biking around, the rest of team stands ready to catch the riders when it’s time to make a quick switch. Each pairing will bike two laps around per turn.

The first team to complete 42 laps is crowned champion.

Tandem qualifications took place Friday to dictate where each team will start for the big race Saturday
