Special showing of ‘The Time Machine’ raises money for Vigo County Historical Museum


TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Moon Lite Drive-In will hold a special one-night showing of H.G. Wells’ 1960 classic Sci-Fi film, “The Time Machine” Sunday to raise money for the Vigo County Historical Museum.

The event is part of the museum’s “Race Against Time” fundraising efforts to reach $20,000 by Sept. 30. If the museum is able to reach its goal, it will be endowed up to an additional $10,000 through a Wabash Valley Community Foundation 2:1 matching grant.

Tickets will be $10 at the gate with gates opening at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Moon Lite Drive-in. Showtime will begin at 9:15 p.m.
