Sobriety Checkpoint Catches Impaired Driver

Between 10:00 Friday night and 1:00 Saturday morning, Indiana State Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint on SR 64 at 2nd Avenue in Princeton.

During the checkpoint 82 vehicles passed through and one Oakland City man was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Troopers also cited one person for possession of marijuana and another driver for driving while suspended.

The Indiana state Police are committed to traffic safety and will continue to conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from drinking and driving.
