TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — For many businesses, Small Business Saturday is one of the most profitable days of the year.

Community members throughout the Wabash Valley are encouraged to shop small on the day after their Black Friday shopping. Owner of 5th Street Nutrition Blake Kramer said that days like Small Business Sunday are much appreciated as they continue to recover from the losses cause by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“A lot of small businesses are hanging on by a thread so getting out and supporting local is super huge,” Kramer said.

Ryan Cummins, Co-Owner of Apple House Home and Garden, said that his business also had heavy foot traffic as his business transitioned into selling more holiday themed itmes.

“We certainly will have quite a bit more traffic and that always helps to end the year on a positive note,” Cummins said.
