Sisters of Providence celebrate 21st annual Earth Day

It’s that time of year again, the Sisters of Providence Earth Day celebration.

Although it was a bit delayed this year, today folks flocked to Saint Mary-of-the Wood’s campus to enjoy the 21st annual celebration. The Sisters say Earth Day is a mission to teach, care and inspire.    The celebration continues to grow each year.

“We are doing dastardly things to our environment so on a day like today, that is both fun and oriented toward education gives people a positive spin on we can do this, folks, we can do this, we just need to pitch in and do this together,” Sister Dawn Tomaszewski said.

The sisters also started a pledge that several people signed in an oath to reduce our carbon foot print.
