More than 100 community members and leaders turned out to celebrate a new assisted living center in Terre Haute Thursday.
Silver Birch of Terre Haute held its grand opening and official ribbon-cutting on the more than 100 bed facility for seniors living on a limited income.
The facility opened in February; however, officials say they wanted to get some of their residents moved in before holding the grand opening.
“This is definitely beyond our expectations, so we are certainly proud of that,” said Josh Thorme, Silver Birch’s marketing director. “And I think it just speaks to the need in our community for a place much like this, that has all the amenities and has all the care options available and for an affordable price.”
For those unable to attend the event, a virtual tour is available here.
